That project started when we got the request from the legal team to integrate a cookies consent on our websites.
I took the lead on that project since I was already familiar with Cloudflare Zaraz consent management.
All in all, that small project went well. I customized the default consent popup according to the design files.
Project challenges:
- Cloudflare Zaraz’s early stage: The consent management API was young and lacking functionality.
- Monitoring: We were curious how our users would react to the banner. Therefore, it was essential to integrate proper tracking, allowing us to improve the banner over time. However, we didn’t have a cookie-less analytics solution at that time.
- User experience concerns;
